Description |
The Consultant shall provide emergency on-call building inspection services on an as-needed basis for the City’s Community Development Department, Building Division, functioning as an extension of City staff under the direct authority of the Building Official. In this capacity, the Consultant will perform emergency field inspections to verify that construction or work for which a permit is required complies with the Cupertino Municipal Code, the California Building Standards Code, and all applicable state and local regulations. The Consultant shall ensure that all work remains accessible and exposed for inspection purposes until approved, conducting necessary evaluations including, but not limited to, footing and foundation, concrete slab, framing, lath and gypsum, energy efficiency, and final inspections as established by the adopted codes.
